Her through explanation of a witches beliefs and rituals, are spot on, explaining it so that those not in the know not only get a great read but a clearer understanding of Wicca, and what it's truly about.

This series was awesome, and you will definitely be glad you decided to read it, plus you will gain knowledge and understanding of an on religion that is very misunderstood, and misrepresented, thank you Maggie, for being brave enough to write the true facts and information into a riveting series.

Maggie Shayne never, ever fails to entertain me with her writing. The same can be said for this book in the Portal series. She is queen of creating characters and plotting and even with backstory. I would recommend this book to everyone who enjoys Paranormal romance but read the series in order.
I loved this series and could not put it down until the trilogy was complete. I like the way the author reflected back in time to how it all began. The way in the final book spellcaster, she reunited all the characters to complete the end. It seems like somewhere down the road, she could write a fourth book. So so good.
Wow! Third book in the series and it did not disappoint. I was reading thinking this has to end good, it's the last in the series, but Whoa...I was freaking out it was so intense! Maggie Shayne, don't do that to me...OK, you can do again. It was so good! Each book was awesome but this one is over the top! And did it tease that there was a possible next book..Oh I hope so.
This is the 3rd and final book of the Portal series. It actually was the best, even tho I loved all of them. I had to stop reading in some parts because I was afraid of what was going to happen. if you are interested in this series, and I highly recommend it, read them in order so you can understand them better. You won't be sorry!!
I wasn't too shocked with whom reincarnated into Father Dom's body, but Gus, yup that was a total shocker. I absolutely adore authors who can surprise their readers so with that unexpected twist, this story deserved a 5 star rating.

Demetrius and Lilia, their journey back together didn't wow me but not every love story can be an earth shattering journey. Even though I wasn't completely blown away by these two, I still liked their tale and how the Portal Series ended or is this really the end. The final pages had me wondering and I'm sure it will have you wondering too.
A great story, again...Lillia & Demetrius are a wonderful couple who prevail against an ancient evil. I -am- curious if this series continues in some way like it seems to end with, as I would love to know more about the characters in this series. Maggie Shayne is a very talented storyteller!!
Fantastic finale to the Portal Series. I really enjoyed reading them all. Each were related to the other, but also very different from each other.

This one centers on Demetrius and Lilia, to the actual two people that this tale begins with.

Demetrius finally being free, but not free. His senses and feelings on things we take for granted is filtered. He can't enjoy what most humans feel until he receives the last piece of his soul. Lilia holds that piece, but Demetrius doesn't know if he can trust her, and anyone for that matter.

This book is filled with suspense, lies, betrayals, romance, magic, bonding and relationships. There is so much to this last installment. Can Demetrius make the right decision before it's too late? This was nail biting to the end. Lots of twists and turns. It was also very hard to put down. And even an opening for a future spin-off of this amazing series.

Maggie does such a great job brining in the world of Wiccans and witchcraft. It's so fascinating and easy to follow too.

Thank you Maggie for such an amazing series. Hopefully we'll see Lilia, Indira, Lena and the rest of the characters in a future spinoff.
